Home Based Care and Support is a unit of competency offered in TVET level 6 Social Work and Community Development course qualification.

This unit of competency entails mobilization of resources for home-based care, identification of community health structures and partners, undertaking of home-based care needs, and conduction of home-based care needs assessment. 

This unit also entails competencies required as far as character wardrobe is concerned. It consists of monitory of client‟s performance, documentation of home-based care, and support services.
